Syracuse Women’s Basketball Outlasts Wake Forest 62-50

Behind me, the changeover crew’s got all hands on deck. You can say the same about Syracuse women’s basketball’s effort in today’s 62 to 50 win over Wake Forest. 12 players checked into the game for the Orange, eight found the scoring column, giving SU consecutive victories in ACC play for the first time all season.

I just think it’s important that you give young people an opportunity to fly or fail and most times you give them a chance and if you believe in them they are gonna fly.
The one player that did not check into the game for Syracuse was Lexi McNabb. Despite not logging any minutes on the court, the junior had her imprint all over this game.
The biggest asset that we had was Lexi who didn’t play, the only one I didn’t play, but she was the one that shared with us what we should consider doing. She’s the reason why we went out into a flex screen offense in the first five minutes of the game. So, she’s communicating what she sees out there as well.
Syracuse will need more total team efforts when it heads out to the sunny Golden State this week. The ‘Cuse squares off with Stanford Thursday at 10 o’clock. We’ll have coverage out there in Palo Alto between the Orange and Cardinal but for now from the chilly Northeast, Adam Hipsky Citrus TV.
