Syracuse Women’s Basketball gets back in the win column against FDU

Syracuse women’s basketball dominated right here in the painted area in this afternoon, 77-58 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson, the Orange outscored the Knights 40-6 down low, led by double digit performances from Kyra Wood and Izabel Verajao. Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack had nothing but good things to say about her bigs performances.
We have a really good, strong post team, you know, is Kyra Saniaa, Journey, and we’re implementing Kiera that position as well. And I just think that it’s a mental it’s a mindset, and we haven’t really decided that we want to be extraordinary yet.
That was a part of our scout that they were smaller than us and we needed to dominate down there. And that’s what we tried to do.
We came into the game, focused locked in, that we had the height advantage and the strength inside. And I feel like we did a good job using the strength today.
