Syracuse Volleyball drops a straight sets match against Miami
Even though it’s only October, it’s starting to feel a little bit like Groundhog’s Day for Syracuse Volleyball. SU dropped a straight sets loss tonight to Miami, marking the team’s 7th loss in a row in ACC play. The Orange are in a tough conference six teams in the NCAA’s top 25 are all in the ACC. SU head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam post-game mentioned the strengths of all those teams.
“It has been really strong for multiple years, for about five years now. But this year, it even got stronger with the addition of SMU, Stanford, and Cal. Anybody that watched that Stanford-SMU match at SMU, you could see the level we’re competing against. And some of these teams have not just one or two, but they have three, four All-Americans on that side. So, yeah, it’s the highest level you can compete at. It’s the highest level, at least in this country.”
And the road in the ACC just doesn’t get any easier for Syracuse, as it welcomes No. 19 Florida State on Sunday. The first serve for that match is at 1 o’clock. Reporting from the Women’s Building, Josh Solomon, Citrus TV.
