Syracuse Volleyball Dominates Day 1 Of The 2024 Season
History doesn’t write itself. But unfortunately for Syracuse Volleyball, last season, they put pen to paper with a program-worst 2-26 record. However, today was the start of something new. Not only was it the start of the 2024 season in the Salt City Classic, but Syracuse matched that record from last season on just day one, with a three-nothing straight sets win in the morning against NJIT, and then defeating Lafayette three to one later this evening. Head Coach, Bakir Ganesh Ratnam said that, Well, mistakes happen You got to learn from them and eventually move on.

It’s not weighing heavy on us. We’re really focused on this team. It’s a brand new team with a lot of new players. It’s an exciting schedule, exciting new year. Our goal is to just form a cohesive team that can compete at the highest level. If that means getting as many wins as possible, we absolutely take that.

I think it’s just going to keep on getting better from here. I feel like we all gelled together really well. Obviously, we all have our differences, but that makes us us. So I think it’s just going to get better from here. Yeah, I’d say the same. The more time you spend with people, the more you learn them, the better you get, especially for volleyball. So I think it’s only up from here.
