Syracuse Tennis Remains Unbeaten, Defeats Drexel 6-1

(DREW)

Same story, different day as Syracuse takes down Drexel six to one. It’s the Orange’s fourth straight win of the season, and they remain a perfect three and zero all-time against Drexel.

For head coach Younes Limam, clipping the Dragons’ wings all starts with the tenacity to fight through adversity.

We were challenged in a lot of the course, and I’m very proud of the team. I think they showed a lot of resilience. We went the distance in some matches, but really stepped up when we needed to. And as far as doubles, I was very happy with how we started and set the tone.

One of the many bright spots for Syracuse was freshman Monika Wojcik, as she wins in three sets for her second singles win of the year.

Since I’ve been here, it’s been really incredible. Everyone’s made me feel really at home. Me and the other freshman—we’ve been adjusting pretty well. The girls have been really welcoming, and the practices and matches have been really high energy. So, it feels good. It’s exciting.

And the Orange are going to have to rely on teamwork if they want to get it done next weekend. Syracuse takes on Boston University and Boston College in Chestnut Hill a week from today.
