Syracuse Men’s Basketball suffers 91-84 loss to last-place Miami
On Tuesday night, Syracuse men’s basketball was trying to contain Miami’s offense from out on the perimeter, but in the blink of an eye, the Hurricanes were living in the paint, shooting 58% on two pointers. That’s one reason they scored 91 points in a win over Syracuse.
“It’s all the same, you need five guys to play defense,” said Head Coach Adrian Autry after the loss. “If one guy doesn’t do his job, then the defense breaks down. We give certain people certain instructions, and we’ve got to be able to execute those. Typically, we’ve had some performances where we’ve come up on the short end, but we’ve. Today, we didn’t do what we were supposed to do. That’s frustrating.”
The entire Hurricanes squad had it going on the offensive end. However, a few who stood out were Matthew Cleveland and Jalil Bethea, who combined for 53 points.
Syracuse will need a better defensive performance when it takes on North Carolina at 6 PM on Saturday.
