Syracuse Men’s Basketball finds its first road win against Boston College

ALEX REMOLL: Conte Forum home of the Eagles. Well it didn’t really feel like the home of the Eagles as Syracuse men’s basketball rode strong visiting support to a 79-71 win over Boston College this afternoon. You could hear several let’s go orange chance in the Eagles Arena and it seems

like the Syracuse players fed off the energy from the crowd. Head coach Adrian Autry said that the energy from the crowd and the players on the court reminded him of the old conference of both of these teams.

ADRIAN AUTRY: Yeah that was a good old you know uh physical you know I love the way the refs ref the game. They let those guys play um on both ends. I don’t you know I don’t really talk about the rest but I thought they did a good job letting those two guys play and I thought it was a treat for everybody here but it was it was definitely a battle down there. It was a lot of bumping and a lot of noise and both of those guys played really good.

EDDIE LAMPKIN: It’s amazing just to be going away and just seeing it. Basically, to me, it was like a home game—that’s what I said. But it’s amazing the fans. I love them, and we appreciate them coming out and supporting us because we haven’t had the best season, but they’re still there, and that just shows that’s the real fans—that’s not the ones who care when we win, who care about losing.
