Syracuse Men’s Basketball earns a crucial 74-60 win over NC State
All week Adrian Autry and Syracuse men’s basketball talked about one thing, that’s playing a full 40 minutes of basketball. Losing momentum in games half way through has been a struggle all season. Tonight, the Orange made it all the way to the end in a wire to wire in a 74 to 60 victory over NC State. Coach Autry says it was an improvement for his squad.
“Obviously, we got a couple of things we would like to do better, but what coach doesn’t want his team to play mistake free basketball,” Autry said. “I thought today was the best example of us going from start to finish.”
“This is the closest we got to playing 40 minutes,” Orange guard Kyle Cuffe says. Today, we held them to zero transition points. They’re a fast-paced team. They like to pressure the ball, so being able to match their intensity was good for us.
The win gives SU some breathing room to stay in the top 15 of the ACC standings. If the Orange can hold onto it, they’ll go to the ACC tournament in mid-March. Next up on the docket for Syracuse is a road contest at Virginia Tech on Saturday at noon. Follow CitrusTVSports on X and Instagram for live updates.
