Syracuse drops 3-0 straight-sets loss to Florida State
It’s been a tough stretch for Syracuse Volleyball so far in ACC play. (1:00:05) Eight games and eight losses. Today SU matched up against number 19 Florida State.
(1:00:12) It was the fourth time this season that the Orange have faced a ranked opponent (1:00:15) and unfortunately all four times have ended in straight sets losses including today against FSU. (1:00:23) Although SU head coach Bakir Ganesharatnam along with his players have mentioned that (1:00:27) the team’s determination has kept them strong throughout this tough stretch. (1:00:31) As a whole I think we’re in a spot where we are much more experienced and much more mature (1:00:39) now than we were eight matches ago you know.
Now it’s up to us to capitalize from those (1:00:45) experiences we made. Like we had that don’t give up mindset like during practice we had that don’t (1:00:50) give up mindset too like every single drill like it’s gonna be hard we’re gonna have to push (1:00:54) ourselves we’re all tired and in the end that fire and that energy is what pushes us to to (1:00:59) exceed at like the highest level we can do and we know it’s all gonna like it’s just gonna make it (1:01:05) easier for us if we put that extra effort into that energy. Let’s see if Syracuse’s positive (1:01:10) morale can translate into its next match.
I feel like I keep on saying it though ACC play doesn’t (1:01:17) get any easier and that truly shows with SU’s matchup on Wednesday. They take on UVA. Virginia (1:01:23) is 15-3 on the season and 5-2 in the conference.
First serve is right here at 7 on Wednesday. (1:01:32) Reporting from the Women’s Building, Josh Solomon, Citrus TV.
