No. 11 Syracuse struggles on offense en route to a 14-11 loss at the hands of Virginia Tech

Milo Hoffman: It was a cold one here in Blacksburg, and you could say the same about Number 11 Syracuse’s offense in its 14-11 loss to Virginia Tech.SU had just one goal at the end of the first quarter, and finished the first half with a mere 4 scores.

Kayla Treanor: We just didn’t have it all game long. We outshot them 36-29. Our shooting was really bad and their goalie was great. If you can’t shoot and you’re playing against a hot goalie, you’re going to lose, and we learned that today.]

Hoffman: Hokies netminder Aaliya Jones had 13 stops, it’s the sixth time the grad student has reached decibel digit saves this season. Now on the offensive side for VT, there was absolutely no stopping Lauren Render. The junior had a game-high 7 scores.

Treanor. Yeah, I mean she got 12 shots, so I thought she played great today. I thought everyone across the board played really well.

Hoffman: Well the Orange round out their regular season in a tough one this Thursday against No. 2 Boston College from Christian Brothers Academy. Opening draw is slated for 7pm, SU has dropped 7 straight to BC. But for now reporting from Thompson field, Milo Hoffman, Citrus TV
