The freshman was a part of the 2016 recruiting class highlighted by guard Tyus Battle and forward Taurean Thompson. Moyer was touted as the 74th best recruit in ESPN’s 2016 rankings. The 6-foot-8 forward played basketball at South Kent Prep. (Connecticut) last season.
Moyer did play nine minutes in Syracuse’s preseason match-up against Indiana University (Pa.) last Tuesday. The Orange continues its preseason slate with an in-city battle with Le Moyne Tuesday night at 7 P.M.
