SYRACUSE, N.Y (CITRUSTV NEWS) – A body was found on the fifth floor of Huntington Hall at Syracuse University Thursday morning, according to an email sent to all students and faculty by the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety (DPS).

According to DPS, the body found was not a person affiliated with the university, and there were no signs of “foul play” or “suspicious activity.” The Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s office has since removed the body.

CitrusTV has contacted a DPS spokesperson to find out how long the body was there and how an individual not affiliated with the university was able to get into the building, but they said they are not providing any additional information at this time.

Huntington Hall is located on Marshall Street and is the main hub for the School of Education. The building houses administrative offices and classrooms, but no Syracuse University students live there.
