Don’t just watch TV. Make it.
Ever been curious about how television is made? Maybe you were involved with video production in high school and want to continue. Maybe you aren’t a Newhouse student but still want to learn about broadcast media. CitrusTV is the place for you.
“But it’s for Newhouse kids…”
False. The number one misconception about CitrusTV is that only Newhouse majors are involved. While many of our top talent and producers do study at the Newhouse School, just as many exceptional reporters, anchors, and crew members do not. We welcome any and all majors as a part of our studio.
So, what do I do to get involved?
It’s pretty easy. We have General Interest Meetings at the beginning of each semester. Watch our website and social media for dates/times. If you miss the meeting though, don’t worry. E-mail gm@citrustv.com and our General Manager will be more than happy to let you know how to get involved. Just make sure you specify which department or show you’re interested in so that they can direct your e-mail.
Then, you just start coming to the studio. By being at CitrusTV when a show is in production or taping, you can meet the producers of the show as well as current members who can help you get involved and learning right away. Check out our Studio Schedule for each show’s production time.
