Syracuse Women’s Basketball Hammers Binghamton

Syracuse headed down I-80 to battle Binghamton in a central New York matchup. The Orange came out firing, starting 4-for-6 from the field and opening up a 10-point lead after the first quarter. Syracuse led by single digits at halftime but exploded in the third quarter. SU outscored Binghamton by 16 points in the third and never looked back en route to a 30-point win. The Orange had 10 different scorers, with four finishing in double figures. The Orange improve to 5-6 on the season, and grab their first true road win of the season.
The formula worked for the Orange as the team effort Head Coach Felisha Legette-Jack has been seeking all season was in full effect. Syracuse shared the wealth with four players in double figures: Georgia Woolley (18), Journey Thompson (12), Izabel Varejão (11), and Sophie Burrows (11).
The Orange aim to keep their winning ways going against Dartmouth on Saturday in the Dome at 11 a.m. The Big Green are 5-6 this season, coming off back-to-back wins over Central Connecticut State and Lafayette. Syracuse has never lost to Dartmouth, winning all five meetings dating back to 1981. This game serves as SU’s final tune-up before conference play begins in 2025.
