Syracuse Women’s Basketball takes down Yale on a special day in the Dome
Syracuse women’s basketball handled business on the court, taking down Yale 78-50 this afternoon. But on Alzheimer’s Awareness Day here in the JMA Wireless Dome, this one meant just a little bit more to Coach Jack and her players.
They play for me, and we play for my mom. They play for each other, and they play for the love. And that’s the missing ingredient in this world that we live in right now is where’s the love? It’s in our locker room. There is a fight, it’s in our locker room. Where is the passion and intensity that doesn’t show all the time on the court.
We never play for the name on the front of the jersey or the institution that we’re playing, but something about playing for your coaches. It just hits a little different in your heart. So when it is like that, you don’t have any choice but to go out and play hard and it just it gives you that extra push. And, I can’t even speak because it actually, like, Coach Jack means so much to me. So for this cause to mean so much to her and like it resonates through all of us.
With the win, Syracuse gets back to the .500 mark yet again with a 4-4 record on the young season. Now, SU heads down to the Lone Star State to do battle with Texas A&M. The Aggies boast a 4-4 record of their own. Coming off a 22-point win over Southern Miss. The two squads do battle this Wednesday at 6:15 at Reed Arena in College Station.
