Syracuse Women’s Basketball loses a heartbreaker to UAlbany
Syracuse women’s basketball fans found themselves on the edge of their seats as Lily Phillips pulled up for a three pointer with three seconds to play, the triple fell and UAlbany beat Syracuse 73-70 for the Great Danes, it’s the second power four win ever, and the first since 2014 head coach Felicia Legette Jack said the orange had nobody to blame but themselves.
I’m going to say it on record, a better team didn’t win today, but the more prepared team won today, the team that decided that every single possession is going to matter as if their life depended on it, and we thought we had a tomorrow.
Syracuse will try and shake the early season woes when it heads down to sunny Florida for the Emerald Coast Classic. It’s two games in two days for the ‘Cuse, starting with a bout with Missouri next Monday at five o’clock, reporting from the JMA Wireless Dome, Kiran Costa, CitrusTV
