Syracuse Women’s Basketball Suffer First Loss of the Season.

The three-point line right here served to be the difference in Syracuse Women’s Basketball’s 84-70 loss to Saint Jospeh’s this afternoon. The Hawks connected 14 times from distance led by the senior duo of Mackenzie Smith and Tayla Brugler. Both of those players connected for 5 three pointers and cracked the 20-point mark. After the game head coach Felisha Legette-Jack lamented her team’s lack of communication while defending the three-ball.
We’re on our switching defense and you don’t speak, they made us pay every single time.
The defeat marks the first time Syracuse Women’s basketball has lost a non-conference game here in nearly 5 years, and the road doesn’t get any easier. As SU welcomes #18 Maryland to the Dome on Wednesday. The Terrapins are a perfect 3-0 on the season and coming off a victory over #11 Duke. The two teams go at it in the Salt City on Wednesday at 7 O’clock.  Reporting from the JMA Wireless Dome.
