Syracuse Women’s Soccer Grabs its First ACC Result in 1-1 deadlock vs NC State.

Prepare to hear something you haven’t heard in a while.  Syracuse women’s soccer got a result in ACC play tonight.  The Orange tied against NC State 1- It’s been a while since the team has got an ACC result since they started the season 0-7 in ACC play, so SU head coach Nicky Thrasher Adams thinks this does a ton for the team’s confidence.

“So proud of the girls, I thought it was a complete turnaround in terms of our fight and our confidence, really confidence number so I saw much more of that tonight and it showed on the scoreboard, statistically just how much better we were”

Syracuse easily could have won this one today. The Orange had their most shots in an ACC game. However, missed opportunities plagued the team once again.

“But again I liked our attitudes this week, so we’ll build on what we’ve been working on and more repetition going to goal.”

Things aren’t going to get too much tougher for Syracuse as they take on Miami next Thursday back at SU Soccer Stadium.  The Hurricanes also are winless in ACC play.  Reporting from SU Soccer Stadium, Timmy Weiss, Citrus TV
