Syracuse Volleyball Falls to North Carolina
The last time Syracuse volleyball and North Carolina met back in 2022, it was the Orange who came out on top in 5 sets. However, this is 2023 and the Tarheel got their revenge taking down SU 3-0. After the match Head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam said the match came down to sloppy mistakes.
“I do think it was a little bit of a battle of unforced errors. Who made less, I think UNC made a lot, we certainly had our fair share preventing us from winning one maybe two sets”.
“Whenever you want to reduce unforced errors, it’s not just one aspect. We got to do lot of things better.” We gotta transition better, we got to get our feet set in the right position. All this starts with increasing the output in practice”.
Syracuse committed 9 serving errors and had a kill percentage of just over 19%. The Orange drop to 2-15 on the season and 0-7 in ACC play. They’ll have less than 24 hours to regroup as they come back to the Women’s Building on Sunday to take on Duke. First serve it set for 1.
