On Monday, the university’s vice president of diversity and inclusion, Mary Grace Almandrez, hosted a campus forum from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
All SU students were invited to attend this forum where Almandrez shared highlights the office achieved over both the fall semester and the beginning of the current semester. She also shared goals that the office hopes to accomplish before the spring semester ends.
Almandrez announced that the office completed a search for a director of inclusion and belonging. She says they plan to announce that official soon with an anticipated start date of March first. Almandrez also said the office has established a faulty fellowship in collaboration with the office of academic affairs.
In terms of l projects the office hopes to have completed by the end of the semester, Almandrez says the office is looking to hire a 119 Euclid program manager. They are also actively interested in hiring two administrative fellows with plans to post the opportunity to the public this week.
