The Syracuse Crunch get knocked down by the Utica Comets for the tenth time
In a final score of 5-3 the Syrachse Crunch fell tonight for the tenth time to the Utica Comets, and that’s out of the 13 games they’ve played so far, they’ll have one more matchup this season to finish up their 14-game series, but that will be until April 15th. Tonight, out of the 35 shots on goal that Syracuse took they only got 3 in, all of those being during the fourth period. Utica on the other hand had 15 shots on goal, 5 of those going in, two being empty net goals during the fourth period and another being a shorthanded goal in the first. After the game we talked with goalie Akira Schmid from the Utica Comets a little bit about what he’s learned playing the crunch this season.
“We’ll it’s always fun to play against them and after this many times we kind of figure out how they play and they figure out how we play too though,” Schmid said.
The Utica Comets currently sit at the top of the North Division and the Syracuse Crunch are sitting in fourth. The Crunch will take on the Hartford Wolfpack Saturday at 7:00.
